First things first. What is a flashmob?
Wikipedia says 'a group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, perform
an unusual act for a brief time, then disperse'.
Well we did 52 of them - from November 2011 until Nov 2012.
We saw it as a chance to bring Nillumbik together in a fun, spontaneous
and unique way. A chance to get creative with sound, action, word and space. A chance
to get active with people outside your circle. A chance to get involved in your community.
Art is about creation and exploration and when it's shared with friends, it gets you moving, makes you laugh and is good for your health. Plus it's a whole lot of fun!
You may have been a participant, an ideas person, a filmmaker, an
organiser or just a member of a conversation that starts with "Guess what I just
saw!" and ends with "Wow". Whatever your part, we THANK you.
It was big! It was muddy! It was noisy! It was terrific! And it was NUMBER 52!!!
Thank you to all the groups that took part - Hurstbridge Lear...
